The German government is preparing to invest billions of euros into its semiconductor sector, with reports suggesting subsidies could reach around 2 billion euros. Although the Economy Ministry has not confirmed this figure, they are actively inviting chip companies to apply for new funding aimed at building a robust microelectronics ecosystem in Germany and Europe as part of the European Chips Act, which seeks to reduce dependency on Asian suppliers.
