Cargill to Lay Off Approximately 475 Employees in Minnesota

Reported about 17 hours ago

Cargill announced it will permanently lay off about 475 employees in Minnesota starting February 5 due to a company restructuring prompted by a revenue decline. The layoffs affect workers at its Wayzata office and will provide severance pay and outplacement services. The company cited dropping prices on commodity crops and shrinking processing margins as reasons for the staff reductions.
