China has revised its GDP estimate for 2023 to 129.4 trillion yuan ($17.7 trillion), marking a 2.7% increase from earlier projections. Despite this growth, the government maintains a forecast of around 5% growth this year, while the World Bank has slightly adjusted its growth estimates upward amid ongoing challenges in the property market and consumer spending. The country continues recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and a housing market downturn.
