FTX executives Ryan Salame and Caroline Ellison have successfully reduced their prison sentences following their convictions related to the crypto fraud orchestrated by Sam Bankman-Fried. Salame was sentenced to 7.5 years in federal prison but is now eligible for release by March 1, 2031, over a year earlier than his original date. Ellison, who received a 2-year sentence, is now slated for release on July 20, 2026, three months sooner than initially expected. The Bureau of Prisons allows inmates to earn good conduct time, which can influence their projected release dates.
