T-Mobile has initiated extensive testing of its satellite-to-cell service powered by SpaceX's Starlink, aiming to eliminate mobile dead zones and enhance connectivity in remote areas. The beta trial, which offers free text service via satellite, will run until July and will be incorporated into T-Mobile's premium Go5G Next plan afterwards at no additional cost. The service promises coverage to 500,000 square miles in the U.S. previously unreachable by cell towers, with plans to add voice and data features in the future.
