Reported about 11 hours ago

Thailand is negotiating increased trade concessions with the U.S. to prevent a potential 36% tariff on imports, aiming to reduce its $46 billion trade surplus by 70% over five years and achieve balance within seven to eight years. Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira stated that they hope for a maximum tariff rate of 10%, with any range between 10% and 20% being acceptable, as they prepare to submit a revised proposal before the July 9 deadline.
