Cartken, an autonomous robotics startup known for delivering food, is pivoting towards industrial applications after finding a significant demand for their robots in factories and labs. Co-founder Christian Bersch noted that their robots, originally designed for delivery, are effective in optimizing material flows in industrial settings. This shift was catalyzed by an initial partnership with German manufacturer ZF Lifetec, which started using Cartken's technology for moving production samples. The company aims to extend its robotic fleet for industrial use while still maintaining its existing food delivery operations.
