Daimler Truck's European Shift Towards Zero-Emission Vehicles

Reported about 9 hours ago

Daimler Truck AG is implementing a growth strategy called 'Stronger 2030' to expand its zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) presence in Europe, motivated by a favorable regulatory environment compared to the U.S. However, this transition includes a significant workforce reduction of around 5,000 jobs to achieve €1 billion in cost savings by 2030. The company aims to sell 25,000 ZEV units in Europe by 2030 while addressing challenges such as electric vehicle charging infrastructure and regulatory uncertainties in the U.S.
