Soybean Prices Decline as Market Pressure Continues

Soybean prices faced downward pressure heading into the weekend, with contracts falling between 3 to 6 cents and August down 29 cents for the week. The national average cash price for new crop soybeans decreased by 3.75 cents to $9.70. Soymeal futures dropped between $1.60 to $1.80/ton, while soy oil also saw a decline of 22 to 23 points on Friday, despite recording gains earlier in the week. Notably, the USDA reported a private export sale of 142,500 MT of soybeans to Mexico, indicating ongoing export activity despite overall market declines.
