UniCredit's CEO Andrea Orcel indicated that the bank may sell its stake in Germany's Commerzbank to a non-EU bank if a favorable offer is made that satisfies shareholders. UniCredit currently holds a 26% stake in Commerzbank and has pursued a merger, which is opposed by Commerzbank and the German government. Orcel acknowledged the possibility of selling to non-EU buyers if shareholders prefer this move.
