Meta has launched Hyperscape, a new technology that enables developers to create photorealistic virtual reality environments by scanning real-world rooms. This tool allows Quest device owners to capture their spaces quickly, though the rendering process takes longer. Although social features are not yet available, the technology has already rendered notable locations like Gordon Ramsay's kitchen and Chance the Rapper's House of Kicks. The rollout for users aged 18 and older begins gradually, alongside new VR games and partnerships for immersive streaming content.
