Apple Inc. has significantly boosted its iPhone production in India, with output rising 53% year-over-year to 23.9 million units in the first half of 2025, reflecting a strategic shift in production due to slowing demand in the U.S. and China. India now accounts for approximately 16% to 17% of Apple’s global iPhone manufacturing, with forecasts indicating that this could grow to 25% by 2027. Despite a slowdown in core markets, Apple’s overall shipments increased by 13% in Q1 2025, prompting investor interest in whether this production growth will translate into demand.
