On July 7, 2024, at 11:00 PM, in Taipei, a confrontation occurred between Hong Shen-han and Fu Kun-chi on the Legislative Yuan's Internal Administration Committee as they continued reviewing amendments related to the 'Recall of Public Officials Act'. The blue and green camps clashed intensively with the green camp occupying the chairman's seat early in the morning. When blue legislators arrived at 6 o'clock, the green legislators had already blocked the entrance. Hong Shen-han of the DPP confronted KMT caucus convener Fu Kun-chi, leading to an exchange of heated words. Fu accused Hong of being a 'scum' after a physical altercation, while Blue Legislator Wang Hung-wei berated Hong as a 'jerk'.
