On June 28, 2024, at 5:03 am, a Mercedes-Benz car parked at the roadside on Taiping Old Street in Chiayi suddenly caught fire and burned. Around noon, a fire broke out near Taiping Old Street in Meishan Township, Chiayi County. The black Mercedes-Benz car was engulfed in flames, and firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 1:40 pm. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
