In the early hours of July 7, 2024, a 46-year-old habitual thief named Huang stole two air conditioners in Xizhi City, intending to sell them at a low price. To do so, he enthusiastically pushed the air conditioners on a trolley for 3 kilometers to a recycling center, yet the business refused to buy them. Huang, frustrated, brought the stolen items back home, with the entire crime captured on surveillance cameras. The police easily caught him and Huang, upon being arrested, exclaimed in anger that it was all a waste of time. With a criminal record of multiple thefts, Huang's latest attempt was foiled by the vigilant recycling business which led to his arrest and charges of theft.
