The Central Weather Bureau has issued a warning as a cold core low pressure system passed through Taiwan, causing unstable atmospheric conditions and the possibility of severe afternoon thunderstorms. This system is characterized by counterclockwise rotation in the upper atmosphere, lowering temperatures aloft and potentially leading to intense thunderstorms and even hail. Although the cold core low pressure is usually located in the upper atmosphere and not visible on conventional weather maps, the impact on surface weather patterns can be significant, warranting caution.
