Reported about 1 year ago
Cheng Wen-tsang resigned as the chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation after only 1 month in office due to bribery allegations during his time as the Taoyuan City Mayor, reminiscent of his quick resignation from the same position 17 years ago after the 'Fuji Feast' scandal. Cheng's political career also includes serving as the youngest cabinet member under Su Tseng-chang's administration and later becoming the Mayor of Taoyuan in 2014. Despite being considered a potential presidential candidate, Cheng now faces corruption accusations related to a land development case.
