A driver in Taipei recently parked his car in an automotive department store, where it was inspected by personnel from the Environmental Protection Agency for suspected modifications. He was discontent with the agency's claim of being outsourced personnel and not being able to provide credentials. Both parties had a stand-off at the scene. The Environmental Protection Agency stated that both the police and the inspection team were present at the time, and the procedures were in compliance. They will conduct post-event investigations.
