A jeweler in Taichung, who is also the chairman of the local jewelers' association, recently received emails containing logos of well-known news stations and newspapers, claiming that the jeweler's social media page was infringing on intellectual property by using media images and videos. The emails included links that, when clicked, led to phishing sites or malware attacks. Businesses are urged to be cautious of such scams and take steps such as enabling two-factor authentication and changing passwords to protect against data theft.
