Fire Breaks Out in Late Night Workers' Dormitory in Puli, Nantou, Paper Boxes Burned Out of Control

Reported about 1 year ago

A workers' dormitory in Puli, Nantou, caught fire on the night of July 6th, with a large number of paper boxes and nets inside fueling the flames. Due to a shortage of water sources on site, the firefighters had to extract water from a water tower to supplement and set up a fire line to prevent spreading. The owner suspected it was caused by a lightning strike in the afternoon. The fire was quickly controlled without casualties, but the exact cause still needs further investigation by fire investigators.
