On June 24, 2024, the Hualien County government, led by County Magistrate Hsu Chen-wei, continued the post-disaster reconstruction work. Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang and relevant ministry personnel visited various locations to inspect the post-earthquake recovery progress. Hsu reiterated the need for the government to support the '0403 Hualien Earthquake Post-Disaster Reconstruction Ordinance' to assist affected residents in returning to normal life swiftly. Su promised full cooperation with the county government to gradually implement the reconstruction and recovery plan, including improving road infrastructure and assisting industries for a swift recovery. The visit aimed to assess the progress and reinforce buildings affected by the earthquake.
