A judge has chosen not to sanction Elon Musk for missing a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) meeting to attend a rocket launch, noting that Musk had already compensated the SEC for travel costs incurred by their lawyers. Musk had agreed to meet with the SEC later for testimony regarding his Twitter stock purchases and allegations of securities fraud dating back to 2018. Although the SEC sought sanctions for Musk's absence, the judge determined his offer to reimburse was adequate.
