A man in New Taipei City, Taiwan, had a financial dispute with his ex-girlfriend and repeatedly threatened her, even going as far as printing and distributing flyers with defamatory language around her neighborhood and at nearby factories. In the end, he not only faced legal consequences but also had to compensate the factories for the damages. The man's actions stemmed from his dissatisfaction with his ex-girlfriend's handling of their relationship and suspicions of wanting to collect money from her, leading to a situation where he and his accomplice resorted to defamatory tactics. Both were sentenced to time in detention and were ordered to compensate for the damages caused.
