Prologis and Maersk have opened Southern California's largest electric charging depot for heavy-duty trucks near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The depot, with nine megawatts of capacity, can charge up to 96 trucks simultaneously and features the nation's biggest electric charging microgrid built by Prologis and Mainspring Energy. This collaboration marks the companies' third electric truck charging initiative in the region, supporting Maersk's decarbonization goals and Prologis Mobility's investments to meet California's emissions mandates. Performance Team will utilize the site to power its fleet of Volvo electric trucks, contributing to efforts to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
