Reported about 1 year ago
In Taichung, a 46-year old man surnamed Qiu pushed his elderly mother during an argument in February, causing her to fall and hit her head on the floor, leading to a skull fracture and fatal bleeding. Despite 17 days of rescue efforts, his mother passed away. Qiu was recently prosecuted for domestic violence causing death. While Qiu claimed no intention to harm his mother, her pre-existing Parkinson's disease made her vulnerable to such forceful actions. The incident serves as a tragic reminder to reject violence and seek help against bullying and abuse.
