At the COP29 climate summit in Baku, UN climate chief Simon Stiell appealed to G20 leaders to provide crucial support for global climate finance. He emphasized the need for increased grants, loans, and debt relief for vulnerable countries to combat climate change. As negotiations progress slowly, business leaders also urged the G20 to implement policies facilitating the transition to clean energy, aiming for at least $1 trillion annually in support for developing countries by decade's end.
