George R.R. Martin announced that HBO's upcoming Dunk-and-Egg spinoff, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," will have a much different tone from "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon," being shorter with smaller stakes. Based on Martin's novellas, the series follows Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg, set in an era with the Targaryen line ruling. The show is set to debut in 2025, potentially covering the events of the first novella, with plans to adapt more if successful.
