Canon has announced the flagship EOS R1 focusing on ultimate autofocus performance and the EOS R5 Mark II with a new 45 million pixel full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor and faster shutter response. The EOS R1 features a 24.2 million pixel full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, DIGIC X image processor, supports up to 40 frames per second electronic front curtain shooting, and 6K DCI 60p 12-bit RAW video recording. The EOS R5 Mark II upgrades from the previous model, offering a 45 million pixel sensor, reduced shutter jelly effect, 120fps mechanical and electronic shutter burst, 8K video recording, and improved image stabilization.
