(G)I-DLE’s agency, Cube Entertainment, has recently taken out a ₩10 billion loan, raising eyebrows in the industry as it coincides with the critical period for the group’s contract renewal. Historically debt-free, the company’s shift to borrowing has led to speculation that the funds may be intended to secure (G)I-DLE's continued association with the agency, particularly given the group’s significant contribution to its revenue since debuting in 2018. Past experiences, such as the unsuccessful contract renewal with BEAST, have compounded concerns about (G)I-DLE’s future. Although Cube asserts that the loan is for operational needs and not specifically linked to the group’s renewal, doubts persist among industry observers.
