A recent UBS survey of 320 single-family offices worldwide with an average net worth of $2.6 billion revealed that the top concern for global family offices in both the near- and medium-term is major geopolitical conflicts. The survey found that North America and Asia Pacific are expected to become the top destinations for fresh asset allocations. Family offices in Asia Pacific are increasingly turning to active wealth management solutions, focusing on alternative investments like private equity and hedge funds, and shifting towards more defensive geographies due to challenges such as geopolitical risks and climate change.
