On July 16, 2024, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its World Economic Outlook, maintaining its global growth forecast at 3.2% for this year, slightly lower than 2023's 3.3%. China's growth is expected to be 5% this year, an increase from previous estimates, although challenges like the real estate collapse and aging population persist. India’s growth forecast has risen to 7%. The IMF also noted a recovery trend in Europe and adjusted its projections accordingly. However, concerns remain about persistent inflation, which it predicts will decrease but not return to pre-pandemic levels.
