A climate watchdog has called on the newly elected Labour government to quickly reverse the green energy rollbacks implemented by the previous Conservative administration to meet the UK's net-zero targets. Despite significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions over the past three decades, current policies only address a third of the reduction goals for 2030. The Climate Change Committee highlighted the necessity of urgent action to avert risks to the UK's emission reduction objectives.
