The new version of Japanese Yen is expected to arrive in Taiwan as early as today (July 17) and will be distributed by the foreign currency cash supply vendor, Bank of America, to Mega Bank, First Bank, Bank of Taiwan, and E.SUN Bank. Travelers heading to Japan rushed to these banks to exchange their currency for the new banknotes. The Bank of Taiwan mentioned that while some branches will receive limited new banknotes starting July 17, the quantity depends on the existing stock of old banknotes, and they will continue to provide exchange services for old Japanese Yen banknotes.
