On July 16, a 26-year-old nurse at a New Taipei hospital faced anger from a female patient's family after he asked if they wanted to administer an anal suppository themselves, intending to spare the patient any embarrassment. This well-meaning question was misinterpreted as reluctance to help, sparking a heated argument in which a family member used profanities against the nurse. The incident escalated until other medical staff intervened and the nurse later filed a defamation complaint, expressing his frustration on social media.
