Former chairman of Taiwan's Formosa Plastics Group, Yang Zhao-lin, who is implicated in a bribery case involving former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je, will face his fourth detention hearing today. The court revoked the initial decision to grant Yang bail of NT$10 million due to concerns about evidence tampering and collusion, prompting a new detention hearing. Ko Wen-je is detained on suspicion of corruption related to a land development case, with Yang and others alleged to have bribed him with NT$5 million in 2017. After repeated appeals by the prosecution, Yang's bail has been continuously contested, leading to ongoing legal battles.
