Thailand Plans to Shorten Immigration Entry Time by 45 Seconds to Boost Tourism

Reported 3 months ago

The Thai Immigration Bureau announced new measures to ensure airport entry inspection time is reduced to less than 45 seconds per person in line with the government's expanded visa exemption policy. They aim to have every arriving traveler go through customs within this timeframe by increasing immigration officers and implementing biometric technology at all airports to prevent transnational crimes. The new visa waiver program, effective this week, extends the stay from 30 to 60 days for visitors from 93 countries, showing Thailand's commitment to attracting more tourists and talents to stimulate economic growth.
