Two female tourists recently engaged in lewd behavior by pretending to kiss and rub their buttocks against a statue in Florence, Italy, which quickly went viral and sparked anger among locals. The video of the incident showed the tourists disrespecting the cultural heritage, leading to calls for harsh punishments for such behavior. The statue in question is a bronze replica of Bacchus, created by the late Renaissance sculptor Giambologna in the 1560s, and is currently displayed at the local ancient marble fountain top in the Bargello Museum.
