TSMC held a press conference this afternoon, but stock prices plunged below NT$1000 due to the impact of Trump's 'protection fee' comment, with TSMC ETFs also severely affected. Funds heavily invested in TSMC, such as 0050 and 0052, saw over a 3% drop. Other high-invested ETFs, like 006208, 0050, 0057, 006203, and 0053, also experienced significant declines. The TWSE opened drastically lower, dropping below the monthly trendline, hitting a low of 23148 points, down by 621 points, but has since recovered and is fluctuating around 23349 points as of 10:03 am.
