The Meteorological Administration has announced the formation of a monsoon low-pressure trough, commonly referred to as a 'typhoon nest', indicating that two tropical disturbances are expected to develop next week. In the meantime, Taiwan is experiencing high temperatures, particularly in New Taipei City, Pingtung, and Taitung, where extreme heat could reach 38 degrees Celsius. Although a previously formed tropical depression has moved inland into Vietnam and won't develop into a typhoon, the monsoon low-pressure trough could lead to further disturbances forming in the South China Sea and east of the Philippines.
