Walt Disney Co. has announced a merger of its Hulu + Live TV service with FuboTV, positioning the new venture as the second-largest digital pay-TV provider in North America. Disney will retain a 70% ownership stake, with the combined services appealing to 6.2 million subscribers. This deal also resolves previous litigation between Fubo and Disney concerning a proposed sports streaming platform, Venu Sports.
