Disney Merges Hulu + Live with FuboTV and Resolves Venu Lawsuit

Walt Disney Co. has announced a merger of its Hulu + Live TV service with FuboTV, positioning the new venture as the second-largest digital pay-TV provider in North America. Disney will retain a 70% ownership stake, with the combined services appealing to 6.2 million subscribers. This deal also resolves previous litigation between Fubo and Disney concerning a proposed sports streaming platform, Venu Sports. The merger is expected to enhance consumer choices and strengthen Fubo’s financial standing.
