HSBC has appointed Lisa McGeough as the CEO and president of its US operations, marking her as the first woman to lead the bank in the region in over a decade. Effective January 1, McGeough will focus on the bank's growth in the US, particularly in expanding its corporate and institutional banking services. This appointment is part of a broader leadership overhaul under HSBC's new CEO, Georges Elhedery. McGeough joined HSBC in 2021 and previously held significant roles at Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo.
