Turkey has initiated the export of 15,000 tonnes of eggs to the United States, where a bird flu outbreak has caused significant supply disruptions and price increases. The shipments, coordinated by member companies of the Egg Producers Central Union, are set to continue until July, contributing an estimated $26 million in revenue. The U.S. is working to manage the crisis, which has already led to the culling of millions of birds and caused a public health concern.
