Tesla's sales of electric vehicles produced in China plummeted 49.2% in February compared to the previous year, totaling 30,688 cars, the lowest since August 2022. In the first two months of 2025, overall sales of China-made vehicles fell 28.7% amidst rising competition from local manufacturers like BYD, which saw a 90.4% surge in sales. Tesla is attempting to boost its offerings with updated software and new deliveries but faces increasing pressure from affordable smart EV options launched by competitors.
