Central Meteorological Bureau issued heat advisories for 16 counties and cities as Yunlin County measured a high temperature of 38°C, and Taipei City issued its first heat wave alert of the year, activating heat wave warning mechanisms. The Bureau forecasts intense convective development in the afternoon due to heat, with possible heavy rain in mountainous areas and brief thunderstorms in central Taiwan, Greater Taipei, Yilan, and Hualien flatlands, accompanied by thunder and strong gusts. Residents are advised to take precautions against heat-related risks and sun exposure.
