A 16-year-old student surnamed Liu went missing on July 3rd after being swept away by waves at New Moon Bay in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County. Despite the search efforts by the Hsinchu County Fire Department, Liu's body was found on the morning of July 5th. Liu and two 21-year-old friends were playing at the beach when they were caught in the water. While the other two friends were rescued by bystanders, Liu remained missing. The rescue team searched for Liu on July 4th and resumed the search on July 5th, eventually discovering the student's body at 7:44 AM.
