Schlumberger's joint venture, OneSubsea, has secured an EPC contract from Equinor for the second phase of the Northern Lights carbon capture and storage project in Norway. This marks a major advancement as the project's CO₂ capacity is set to increase from 1.5 million to at least 5 million tonnes annually. The contract includes the engineering and construction of new CO₂ injection systems, with work expected to begin immediately and initial deliveries slated for 2026.
