Established in 2014, the company has seen significant financial losses, reporting a net loss of $282.5 million in the first half of 2025 despite generating revenues. As the regulatory climate for cryptocurrencies improves, Gemini joins other crypto firms in seeking public markets, following successful IPOs from Circle and Bullish.
