US Expands Steel and Aluminum Tariffs to Include More Products

The US Commerce Department has broadened the scope of its 50% tariffs on steel and aluminum, adding 407 new product codes that include derivative goods. These changes, effective August 18, mean that not only steel and aluminum imports but also non-metal content will be subjected to tariff rates imposed by President Trump on goods from specific countries.
