Deliveroo's founder and CEO Will Shu announced he will step down following the company's acquisition by DoorDash, valued at approximately £2.9 billion. The deal, expected to finalize on October 2, aims to leverage the strengths of both companies against increasing competition. Shu, who established Deliveroo in 2013, emphasized that this is the right time for his departure. Several non-executive board members will also resign once the acquisition is complete.
