A 19-year-old high school graduate in New Taipei City found himself caught in a police trap after responding to a job posting on Facebook for 'receiving money', only to be accused of fraud. The boy, who was looking for a summer job before university, was misled into becoming a 'scam driver'. The police arrested him after receiving a report from a 70-year-old woman who was scammed into investing in fake stocks. Recent graduates need to beware of job postings that involve receiving or collecting money, as it could lead to becoming unwitting accomplices to fraud.
